Type-1 diabetes                                                                                                                                                                       Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) is juvenile-onset diabetes. It is absolute deficiency of insulin.It is autoimmune disease the patients usually lean, the common complication of acidosis and ketosis. Insulin level very low.

Most of the patients with this type of diabetes are obese. Insulin level is normal (or) even elevated. but, there seems to be a deficiency of insulin receptors in the tissues so that at tissue level ,circulating insulin is ineffective.
